Why is it you ALWAYS have to work so hard to get the best things,,, and it sucks even more when you don’t get it…???

Well, at least I got something worth the time I spent thinking about him x about one hundred, ‘cause sometimes it’s time for a change to go for the nice guy, the one that will call you just to say hey, and check up on how YOUR day was and not tell you how bad his was… Or approach you when your sad and give you a hug and reassure you that everything is going to be alright, when your stressed out of your mind because your father’s yelling and you can’t do enough to please anyone it seems but he, is the only one who seems to understand, who at least tells you your perfect, and will kiss you to ease the pain away…

I want you to know that I never don’t think of you,

That I’ll always remember you,

That even though we’ve been through the worst,

We’ve also been through the best,

That you’ve always been my hero,

I’ve always wanted to be just like you,

Even though I may have hurt you,

With all intensions of respect,

I never meant to.

I want you to think of me,

Think of the way things used to be,

I want to be selfish have you all to myself,

Take you out and share you as mine,

I want to always know that you are safe.

I’d love to love you,

But now is to soon,

I want everything to mean something,

I don’t want to go on nonchalantly,

When something’s going on.

Always hear my voice.

I would love for you to know who I really am,

What I’ve really done.

I want you to know when I’m in a crowd,

I find myself searching for you,

Glancing over my shoulder,

Praying to see your face.

Above all I want you for you,

That’s who I meet and became infatuated with,

Not some wanna be tough guy,

I wanted you because of your gentleness,

For your intimacy,

And for the way you take your time and relax,

I want you for the way you make me feel,

The way I now smile all the time,

How I’m carefree and well,

Because of the joy you gave to me.

I don’t always know what I want,

And you’ve always been a mystery,

Until now,

Until just today everything in my life has come together.

Because I strive to know you,

You’ve kept by my,

So now I’ve started a venture,

Of finding my place.

All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten…

***All I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not art the top of the graduate-school mountain, but there in the sand pile a t Sunday school. These are the things I learned

* Share everything. Pay fair. Don’t hit people. Put things back where you fond them. Clean up your own mess. Don’t talk things that aren’t yours. Say you’re sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold mild are good for you. Live a balanced life- learns some and thinks some draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some. * Take a nap every afternoon. * When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together. * Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that. *Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup- they all die. So do we. *And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned- the biggest word of all- LOOK. *Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and same living. *Take any one of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and apply it to your family life or your work or your government or your world and it holds true and clear and firm. Think what a better world it would be if we all- the whole world- had a cookie and milk about three o’clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap. Or if all governments had as a basic policy to always put things back where they found them and to clean up their own mess. *And it is still true, no matter how old you are- when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.
